| ADAMS QUAY / KINSALE SLIPWAY, Kinsale, Co. Cork |
ADAMS QUAY Works consisted of the construction of a new quay wall to Adams Quay using sheet piles and the construction of a new reinforced concrete deck with associated deck hardware. The works also included the construction of a concrete hard standing adjacent to the quay. The works involved construction below Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT). Ancillary works included the positioning of mooring T bars, toe rails and ladders. KINSALE SLIPWAY Works consisted of the breaking up and removal of a concrete slab at the toe of the existing slipway. Steel sheet pile panels were then driven at the toe of the new slip which was also extended further than the existing toe position. Sand bags were then placed to form a dam so that the water could be pumped out at low tide Hardcore; steel and concrete were then placed to form the new slipway. The works involved construction below Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT). |
