L&M Keating were contracted by Galway County Council to perform essential safety upgrade works to the new pier at CaladhMór, InisMeáin, Aran Islands. The works included the installation of 400x400 ‘D-Fenders’, kick rails, line markings and public lighting. The work site is an European Designated Special Area of Conservation The works required night time working and daily programming to work around ferry movements and tides. The works were logistically challenging due to the remoteness of the island and reduced cargo movements during the Winter. |
