This development consisted of the demolition of the rear of the old Garna House and the construction of nine 9no. retail units and four 4no. fully fitted apartments in three 3no. individual blocks around a centrally paved courtyard. The development is fronted by the main street of Sixmilebridge town and is adjacent to the Garna River and the main street bridge. The location of the site imposed significant constraints for access to the works resulting in the necessity to install a tower crane to the courtyard area. The Planning Permission imposed further restrictions in that the existing stone façade had to be retained and modified which required a number of temporary work solutions to support the existing structure. |
