| MINOR MARINE WORKS, CLARE COUNTY COUNCIL. |
L&M Keating Ltd. have completed various minor marine projects for Clare County Council, two such were the Sea Wall at Liscannor and Slipway extensions at Kilkee. |
| Sea Wall Liscannor | L&M Keating Ltd. completed a 150m long sea wall at Clahane Beach in Liscannor. The 6m high sea wall commenced in September 2001 and continued over the following three months. All but one metre of the wall had to be constructed below road level. The depth of the excavation required careful planning as considerable hazards from landslide and flooding existed. The wall itself was of reinforced in-situ concrete construction. The base was 3.5m wide and 700mm thick. The wall itself was 700mm thick for all but the top 2m which stepped in to 450mm thick. |
