Monasterevin Lift Bridge Replacement

Works consist of dismantling of the existing bridge superstructure. A new reinforced concrete subterranean control room and balance chamber will be constructed and a new cantilevered/counterbalanced steel bridge deck erected similar in size to the original structure. The lifting operation will be facilitated by two hydraulic rams housed in the counterbalance chamber. A replication of the original bridge bascule construction will be erected above the deck. All M&E and hydraulic elements of the project are contractor designed. |
