 This project involved:

• Major refurbishment works to the Ground Level floor and the
incorporating of an additional mezzanine plant/ancillary support
accommodation floor within the existing laundry building to
provide CSSD
• Minor refurbishment works to upgrade adjacent corridor also
serving the catering department
• Provision and installation of internal mezzanine and roof
mounted air handling plant to serve the new CSSD
• Provision of extensive mechanical and electrical services to
comply with HTM standards
• Installation of extensive stainless steel fitments to the
standards required in a sterile environment
• Installation of hygienic doors, metal ceilings and secondary
glazing with interstittal blinds
• Associated works and site works required for the proper
completion of the works
• All associated provisions for the proper execution and
completion of the works
• The works were carried out in a live hospital environment.
Particular consideration had to be given to infection control and
liaison with the hospital staff during the construction period.
